Volunteer for Hospice

Volunteering for hospice involves offering compassionate support to individuals and their families during challenging times, providing companionship, and contributing to the overall well-being of the community. This volunteer service not only enhances the quality of life for those in need but also enriches the agency by fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

Hospice stands out for its distinctive approach to care, mandated by Medicare, wherein community volunteers contribute five percent of total patient care hours. This arrangement not only introduces non-medical forms of support but also offers a perspective unrestricted from family dynamics.
